Data Analysis
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Terravanta provides data analytics and performance reporting services for LA Metro’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure, leveraging an API-based application to aggregate and normalize data from multiple charging platforms and operational data sources into a single, comprehensive reporting framework. The weekly EV Uptime Report analyzes performance across more than 34 chargers, including chargers serving the G Line and J Line transit corridors, and tracks key metrics such as charger uptime and downtime, utilization, energy consumption, and kilowatt-hours (kWh) delivered. By consolidating data from disparate systems into a unified report, Terravanta provides actionable insights that support operational decision-making, performance monitoring, and proactive maintenance planning.
COMMUNITY BENEFITS
This project provides many benefits to the overall community. Here are a few examples of the community benefits:
- Reliable Transit Service: Supports charger reliability and fleet readiness, helping ensure electric buses remain available to serve transit riders.
- Data-Driven Operations: Consolidates information from multiple charging platforms into a single source of truth, enabling faster and more informed decision-making.
- Reduced Downtime: Identifies charger performance issues and trends early, supporting proactive maintenance and minimizing service disruptions.
- Maximized Public Investment: Helps LA Metro optimize the performance and utilization of its charging infrastructure, improving the value of electrification investments.
- Cleaner Transportation: Supports the successful operation of electric bus fleets, contributing to reduced emissions and improved air quality.
- Improved System Visibility: Provides stakeholders with clear, consistent reporting on charging performance, energy delivery, and infrastructure utilization to guide future planning and expansion efforts.
