ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Terravanta currently participates in CMAA National, supporting key sustainability programs and presentations. Our team member Randy Britt, the CMAA Chair of Sustainability, continues to make impactful contributions to this organization. This project was designed to support sustainability efforts within the construction management industry by defining and promoting the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) programs. The presentation also demonstrated how public agencies and large Construction Management firms developed their own ESG programs and reports.
The CMAA Sustainability Committee, Chaired by Randy Britt, Sustainability Lead at Terravanta, is dedicated to advancing initiatives such as ESG programs, Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Development, Water Resource Protection, and the need for mentorship to increase the numbers of Sustainability professionals, and other emerging topics in Construction Management to align with the Construction Management Association of America’s (CMAA) mission to improve infrastructure and promote sustainable practices.
COMMUNITY BENEFITS
The project contributed to the community by demonstrating the importance of ESG programs, how they are developed, and how accurate and independent ESG reporting is critical to the success of ESG programs and organizational success.
Mentorship / Internship Opportunities
This project includes opportunities for continuing mentorship through technical educational sessions and reviews of the ESG whitepaper generated by the CMAA Sustainability Committee.
