ABOUT THIS PROJECT
The Metro K Line Northern Extension is a project to extend the K Line, currently running from the Expo Line to Westchester, north into Hollywood. Terravanta team supported with coordination of project management for the initial process for relocation of utilities and created a path for the continuation of the logistics and management of providing necessary power for Los Angeles Metro traction power stations.
COMMUNITY BENEFITS
The extension will connect the K Line to the E, D, and B Lines, creating a more comprehensive and accessible rail network. This enhanced connectivity is projected to significantly reduce travel times between key destinations such as LAX and Hollywood. By offering a convenient and efficient public transportation option, the project also aims to reduce reliance on personal vehicles, helping to lower greenhouse gas emissions and promote environmental sustainability.
