ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Terravanta is currently overseeing an 80MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) located in Visalia area and is actively managing design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases. This effort requires ongoing coordination with diverse stakeholders across multiple engineering disciplines (civil, structural, electrical, geotechnical, telecom, transmission), environmental and land acquisition.
COMMUNITY BENEFITS
Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) offer multiple benefits for our communities, especially as we transition towards a more sustainable energy future. This project alleviates the immediate energy needs of the area while providing support to Southern California Edison during periods of peak demand, especially during summer.
This Battery Energy Storage system reduces the risk of power outages, and enable greater integration of renewable energy sources by storing excess energy during periods of low demand and releasing it during peak demand.
