ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Terravanta partnered with Ubisense, a nationwide leader in utilizing GPS/satellite systems and advanced sensory hardware, to manage the construction of a vehicle management/tracking system on several bus fleets within the San Jose area. This system allowed for the Valley Transit Authority (VTA) to better optimize and maintain the fleet’s safety and operating standards, as well as reduce waste and miscellaneous cost by cutting down on redundant/untracked work and labor.

 

COMMUNITY BENEFITS

Upkeep VTA busses leading to higher uptime for customers. This allows for higher use of public transport and lowers the impact of individual vehicles on the environment.
